Hi, my name is Kathleen, and I live in Canada.

When I heard about the MAP 10-week series I knew I had to join because of my love of textiles and the traditions of Indian textiles. I am happy to be a part of this group.

I am an independent clothing designer, and I also do surface design and natural dyes.

I have travelled many times to India to discover the textiles, especially the work of the kharigars in Gujarat and Rajasthan along with Aranya in Munnar, Kerala. Also travels to SE Asia and living in Japan and Greece in the mid-80’s. Exploring textiles and the work of artisans has always been an important part of my travels.

Hello Geethika,

I just went to view “Save the Loom” on instagram. It looks to be a very interesting organization. I have been to Kochi briefly when visiting ARANYA in Munnar.
